21ST-22ND April 2012
Come and join a Spring Break at Rutland Sailing Club.
Enjoy fantastic training with hints and tips on how to get maximum enjoyment and speed out of your Byte. Our last training day was very successful and we want to offer a weekend that caters for everyone, including those of you just beginning to come to grips with the Byte! Whether you think you sail a Byte badly or well, this weekend is for you - you will be amongst friends!
Rutland is easily accessible from the North and South via the M1 or A1 and the area has lots for partners or families to do – cycle hire, walking, sailing tuition, boat trips etc. Have a look at www.rutlandsc.co.uk and also at www.rutlandwater.org.uk
On Saturday we start at a civilised 10am. In order to give everyone some individual help, we plan to have 2 support boats and 2 trainers and a training room. Our Coach, Kevin Moore, will structure the day around the weather and individual needs. We will concentrate on the CII rig, but Classic rigs are welcome too.
On Sunday you can choose between staying together to continue training and run some short races, or join in the club racing. We plan to finish by 4pm.
Rutland SC has good bunkhouse accommodation at £11-13 per night, which can be booked directly through their office;

The club has catering and a bar. We have the option to book an evening meal together either at the club or at a local pub. We would like to have a sociable meal together on the Saturday evening.
The cost of the training to members of the Byte association will be just £5 for 2 days. Participants will also have to pay £11 per day to Rutland SC on arrival. A booking form can be found here.
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 31st March 2012.
NB Please contact Cathy Brassington as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part, or if you want to know more

A complete DVD of "How To" set up, tune, sail, coach etc the CII. can be downloaded off the
www.byteclass.org website. Most CII sailors will find it quite useful. Section 9 "Tacking the windward traveller", describes the use of the two traveller cars and a bridle.
